Andrea Marcusa’s literary fiction, essays and poetry have appeared in The Baltimore Review,

She’s received recognition from the writing competitions Glimmer Train, Third Coast, New Letters, Press 53, Southampton Review and Raleigh Review and been nominated for several Pushcart Prizes. Andrea divides her time between creating literary works and photographs and writing articles on

In addition to her writing, Andrea teaches several memoir workshops in New York City.  She's dedicated to helping writers find their voices to capture significant personal and historical events in their lives and to bring them to life. 

Andrea began her career as a writer for Glamour and Mademoiselle magazines where, fresh out of college, she received her first national by-line for a personal essay chronicling the ups and downs of a long distance romance. Over the years, she has written about falling in love, marriage, motherhood, siblings, parents,  and learning to drive a pickup truck. Her work has appeared in national newspapers including The New York Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Glamour and Mademoiselle.
